The proper position would be to lean into the golf ball, allowing your feet to move slightly, but not overly much.

You need to find your golf club’s “sweet spot.” This is a point on the club’s blade that propels the ball to where you want it to go every time it makes contact. Practice with these clubs to make sure you know where your sweet spot is and how to hit it each time.

Be certain to keep a pure mental focus and concentration on your next stroke. You don’t want to let anything around you alter your success, don’t let any unsuccessful shots or something like water make you worse. Dwelling on past errors will just cause you to make more errors, so just focus on the present.

You probably want to bring a nice healthy snack to fuel your body and mind while you’re on the course. Golf is a game both physically and mentally exhausting. You can get some extra protein from the snacks and you will be sharper and less tired throughout your golf game.

Closely examine the head of any used club you consider buying. If a club has been overused, you can tell by the shiny, worn spot on the head. These clubs will not be able to hold the ball like they should.

Make sure you have the proper grip when you are setting up to hit a shot. Your thumbs should be pointing downwards, with the handle of the club resting against your palms. Your two hands should touch each other. You can choke up on your club if you want to hit further.
