Whether you are a professional golfer, or a completely beginner, it does not matter. Entire Body

When you swing a golf club, put your whole body into it. Don’t just rely on your arms for power, use the formidable power of your entire body. Using your entire body to swing your club can really improve your game on the golf course. When your shot is powered by your body, you can usually get more distance without having to use as much power from your arms.

Exercise your toes to figure out faults in your stance when golfing. You should be able to wiggle your toes easily; if you can’t do so, you’re leaning too far forward. To get the proper posture for play, lean back until you feel a little play in your feet.

One sage piece of advice about golf is to be easy about it all. If you can learn to laugh at your mistakes, you’ll relax and play better instead of continuing to make them.

Focus completely on the present shot. Whether you have been hitting well or poorly so far doesn’t matter – you’re only as good as your next shot. Stressing over bad shots has been the downfall of many players, so learn to let go.

Always start each swing with your feet in proper alignment. This is perhaps the simplest and most effective way to improve your swing. Place your feet in a perpendicular stance to whichever direction you wish the ball to fly in. To test whether your feet are pointing in the right direction, touch your club to your toes. Look at the direction the club head points in. This is the same direction the ball is going to move in once you hit it.

When driving, the ball should be lined up with your front foot’s back. For other swings, your two feet should be about equidistant from the ball. The exception to this is when your ball is positioned on a slope.

Do not assume a golfing stance that feels unnatural to you. You can practice hitting the ball, and doing your swing, without a golf club. Assume a posture where you are bent a little forward at waist and knees. See if your arms are in a good position to swing the club. When you clap your hands, hold them there. This is what a natural position is, so if you don’t feel comfortable with it, you are most likely overcompensating the position.
